New First-Time Homebuyer Programs in San Leon

For many in San Leon, buying a new construction home could be easier than ever before. The Harris County Housing Finance Corporation is offering a Mortgage Credit Certificate Program to first-time homebuyers.

Those who qualify will be able to get a 30-percent discount based on the interest they pay on their home mortgage. The program is available for people who live in select areas of Harris county, meet income requirements and have not owned a home in the last three years.

This program offers homebuyers that make under $47,200 a year 1% lower on the interest rate quaified for with no PMI. on a new home purchased for $125,000 or lower.
